FAQ's

Q. Where do I get worms from?
A. You can collect your own worms from your back garden, alternatively you can order worms from our preferred supplier. You can also place an order by calling our customer services line on 01628 488 525.

Q. If I order worms from Interplay, how do I receive them?
A. Worms are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class post. They are collected in a small round container and are posted in a padded envelope. Once you receive them just tip the contents of the container carefully in the top of your Worm World.

Q. How long do worms live in Worm World?
A. Worms live for about 2 years, and they live in Worm World quite happily for about a month.

Q. What do worms eat?
A. Earthworms feed on the remains of dead plants found in the ground. They extract this from the soil they eat when tunnelling. Worms also feed on leaves and other plant remains which they collect from the surface of the ground and pull down into their burrows to eat in safety. In Worm World it is interesting to place some dead leaves on the surface to see if your worms drag them down into the soil. You can also feed you worms vegetable peelings and grass cuttings etc.......

Q. Can worms escape from Worm World?
A. No. Once the worms have burrowed into the soil they will not try to get out and should not escape even if the lid is left off. If using brandling worms in your Worm World, keep the lid on at first as they might try to climb out until they have become used to their surroundings.

Q. Does a worm die if you cut it in half?
A. Yes. This is a common misunderstanding. An earthworm may live if it loses a small part of it's body, but will die if cut in half.

WARNINGs on the retail box: For children over 5 years of age only. We recommend adult supervision for young children. Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts that may represent a choking hazard.
